Sale Town Partnership is a proactive non-profitmaking
organisation, involving local businesses,
community groups, schools and other organisations
in projects to help improve and promote Sale for
everyone.
The Partnership works closely with
Trafford Council and other statutory bodies to
ensure the future vitality and viability of Sale.
Whether you are a resident or visitor,
regular shopper or work in Sale, you will find
there is something for everyone from the relaxed
and friendly atmosphere, good selection of shops
and facilities on offer, excellent choice of
eateries and convenient access.Easy Access
Situated at the heart of Trafford close to the
main arterial highway, the A56, it was transport
and communication that determined Sale’s
development.
Accessible from all parts of the compass by car,
bus, cycle and Metrolink with the M60 motorway
less than half a mile away, Sale is linked with
the motorway system of the M62, M56, M6 and M61.
Regular bus services provide routes to all areas
of North, South, East and West Trafford,
Manchester, Salford and Bollin.
Manchester Airport is only 15 minutes away by car
and is also served by bus links from Sale.
Readily available, secure and cheap car parking is
provided within the town centre with a multi
storey car park currently being built to create an
extra 300 spaces at Broad Road to ease demand.
Cycle stands are available on School Road and in
The Square, Sale Shopping Centre.
Sale’s compact layout and mainly flat surfaces
also mean that all its shopping areas, dining and
leisure facilities are close to each other and
easy to reach for pedestrians, pushchair and
wheelchair users.
The town is also linked to the main waterway
networks in the North West by means of the
Bridgewater Canal which runs through the very
centre of Sale and is home to Sale Cruising Club.
Family Friendly
Children are welcome at many of the local eateries
with high chairs provided at a number of
establishments and a number of retail outlets are
very child friendly. Baby changing facilities are
available at Sainsbury’s.
A number of events organised throughout the year
are designed with families in mind. These include
the week long Sale Festival which starts in
mid-June, starting on the Saturday with a whole
day of entertainment in the town and then a
variety of different activites throughout the week
with something for everyone. Check out their
website,
www.sale-festival.co.uk for details. There are
also a variety of seasonal activities, concerts
and theatre performances to enjoy.
Whenever you visit, there will always be a warm
welcome in Sale.
